The House Quad Committee (QuadComm) has cited Mylah Roque, the wife of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, in contempt and ordered her arrest for repeatedly ignoring invitations to participate in investigations concerning Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO). During a recent meeting, Antipolo Representative Romeo Acop moved to issue an arrest order, highlighting Roque’s failure to attend the hearings on three occasions.

Representative Joseph Stephen Paduano initiated the motion to cite Mylah Roque in contempt, stating that she had been afforded due process regarding her expected presence at the hearings. Despite the committee’s previous issuance of a subpoena and a show cause order, Roque did not respond

In late September, Mylah claimed on Facebook that she had traveled to Singapore for medical treatment, but the QuadComm did not accept her medical certificates. She also criticized committee chairperson Ace Barbers, calling him “an abusive individual” for linking her to illegal POGOs

This incident follows Harry Roque’s own citation in contempt by the QuadComm for failing to provide documents to explain his substantial wealth.
