Seventeen member Wonwoo is set to begin his mandatory military service on April 3, as confirmed by the group’s record label, Pledis Entertainment, in an announcement on Weverse.

The agency clarified that there will be no official send-off event and urged fans to avoid visiting the enlistment site.

“Please send your heartfelt messages of support for WONWOO through Weverse,” the statement read.

Impact on Seventeen’s Upcoming Events

Due to his enlistment, Wonwoo will be unable to participate in Seventeen’s scheduled performances, including the Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 music festival in Mexico and a fan meeting in Japan, both set for April.

However, he will still be present at Seventeen in Carat Land, a fan meeting scheduled for March 20 and 21 in Incheon, South Korea. Additionally, fans can look forward to his appearance in various pre-recorded content.

Pledis Ensures Support for Wonwoo

In its statement, Pledis Entertainment assured fans of its commitment to supporting Wonwoo throughout his service.

“We ask for your continued love and support for the artist until his safe and healthy return. We will also stay committed to providing WONWOO with all the necessary support during this time. Thank you.”

Wonwoo is the second member of Seventeen to enlist, following Jeonghan, who began his mandatory military service in 2024.
