“Hello, Love, Again” — the year’s most anticipated Filipino film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards — has set a new box office milestone, recording the highest first-day earnings for a local film in the Philippines with over P85 million on its November 13 opening.
Thousands gathered for midnight showings across 70 cinemas nationwide last Wednesday to watch the story of Joy (Kathryn) and Ethan (Alden) unfold in Canada.
She said, “Just like what Direk Cathy said, ang pangako lang namin sa inyo sa pelikulang ito puso ang ibibigay namin. So I hope after watching this film yun ang maramdaman nyo di lang kay Joy and Ethan kungdi dahil sa buong pelikula.”
Alden expressed his gratitude for the immense public support and shared his excitement.
He said, “Maraming salamat sa mga excited mapanood muli ang kwento ni Joy at Ethan. Napakasaya namin and we’re very proud of this film and we’re very excited for you guys to see it.”
A collaboration between ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and GMA Pictures, “Hello, Love, Again” also features Joross Gamboa, Valerie Concepcion, Jennica Garcia, Kevin Kreider, Jobert Austria, Mark Labella, Marvin Aritrangco, Ruby Rodriguez, and others.
The premiere event was held on November 12 across three cinemas in SM Megamall, attended by fans, Kapamilya and Kapuso stars, the cast’s friends and family, and officials from ABS-CBN and GMA.
